Parking: Will be crowded the morning of stage 1 and we will begin our trip promptly at 10 a.m. We will begin each morning thereafter at 10 a.m. It is highly recommended you arrive at least 1 hour early for check-in. There are a lot of riders checking in on this day. You can also purchase t-shirts, coins or other FLTDF merchandise. A lite snack/breakfast will be provided by our sponsor, Denny’s in the parking lot. Food is on a first come, first serve basis. Denny’s restaurant will be open for breakfast. The cost of breakfast in the restaurant is the rider responsibility. Whether you are participating for the day or for more than one day, you need to arrange your own transportation to/from your vehicle. Partnering up with someone has been successful in the past.
Equipment: Helmet is required all 5 days of your ride and you will not be permitted without it. Maintenance and general repairs are rider responsibility. However SAG and assistance will be present and assist you with flats all 5 days courtesy of Lauderdale Cycle. The type of bike, Road, Tri, Mountain is rider preference.
Luggage: Those participating in 1 or more days a place for your luggage will be provided and you will have access to it should an emergency arise. The morning of stage 1 the U-Haul luggage truck will arrive at the host hotel (Hampton Inn Aventura, FL) to pick up. It will LEAVE THE HOTEL AT 0830
Hotels: Please follow the hotel information on the website. The cost is the responsibly of the rider. We have a discounted rate under “Florida Tour De Force”
Stage 1. Monday April 9th will end in Boynton Beach
Stage 2. Tuesday April 10th will end in Port St Lucie
Stage 3. Wednesday April 11th will end in Palm Bay
Stage 4. Thursday April 12th will end in Titusville
Stage 5. Friday April 13th will end in Orlando, FL
Food/Snacks: During each stage lite snacks, power bars, granola bars, bananas, oranges, and various other items will be provided to you at each rest stop. This also includes water, Powerade, Gatorade as it is available during the week. You are encouraged to bring snacks and water with you and/or donate it to the group to be used during the week. The food and liquids the FLTDF provides to you comes from donations. During the week the FLTDF riders will go through over 1200 bottles of water, so keep this in mind. Denny’s will provide a lite breakfast similar to what we provide during the week, however dinner at the end of each stage is rider responsibility.
Those participating all 5 days will need to prepare for arrangements back to your vehicles/transportation home From Orlando. FLTDF staff will have very limited space for those unable to make accommodations.
